About Us
gMusic Icon RetroTracks contains the tracks from games (and other media) in their original format. Sometimes this may be hard to find a player for due to the exotic formats used, but it means that if you do have something to play it with then it will truely be the original. This applies to any tracks on the site with the exception of previews which are, well, previews. Details of tracks are provided when you hover the mouse over them, but this isn't always 100% accurate so don't take it as gospel, it is purely provided for convenience and may help you find a player or quickly check details of what it is.

If you see any inaccuracies or can supply any missing entries then please use the request form to let us know, corrections are always welcome. Likewise if you would like to help out then please let me know and I'll give you details on exactly how you can help out, the more people, the quicker we can get everything added in.

RetroTracks is more of a meta-collection than anything new. A merging of all the tracks that people remember as being the biggest, best or just the most memorable. As such they are sourced from anywhere and everywhere. I thank those who have spent their time and skill ripping, extracting and fixing these tracks for the general public as without them there would simply be nothing at all for people to listen to. One thing I intend to do is archive tracks that people have real trouble finding and thus making 'lost' or difficult to source tracks available to the public again. Some of the sites that have been a major source of content for this site are listed below:

Exotica/Unexotica (Commodore Amiga)
Project2612 (Sega Megadrive/Genesis)
Lemon64 (Commodore 64)
TSR (Nintendo Entertainment System)
